“They have helped our children to learn, and we are grateful.”
Lazarus Daniel is a smallholder farmer in Doguwa, Kano State, and the father of Princess Lazarus. Two years after his family enrolled with Babban Gona, his children — once unable to read — are now in school, reading aloud at home. This is his account, in his own words.
My name is Lazarus Daniel, and I am the father of Princess Lazarus. Before, our children were not able to read. As a parent, this was not an easy thing to carry. But Babban Gona has truly bettered our lives. First, they introduced different programs and support systems to help us with farming. Now, they have also helped our children to learn. The program has helped them, and they can read. We have seen real improvement, and we are grateful. I am truly overjoyed with Babban Gona. We are thankful to Babban Gona and to Kola. Please pass our message to them and tell them that God will bless and improve their lives as they continue to improve our children’s lives. Tell Kola we say thank you so much for this opportunity he has given our children.
